Each table can have (at most) one TFOOT and one THEAD element. If you specify one of these for the table, the tFoot and tHeadproperties, respectively, return ref erences to those element objects. These properties are read-only in IE, but NN6 enables you to assign valid TFOOT and THEAD element objects to these properties in order to insert or replace the elements in the current table. The process for doing this is similar to the sequence described in the captionproperty. For either of these two elements, however, you have to construct the desired number of table cell objects (and row objects if you want multiple rows) for the newly created row segment object.
